The T-Shirt Project

My first attempt at designing something with jersey!   Deconstructed a small woman's regular tee, added some metal chain/jersey braided shoulderstaps and tassels.  Kind of reminds me of those t-shirts that were slashed fringe embelished with colored pony beads from the eighties.  I think mine had a persian kitten with a rose with a bit of silver sparkle...oh how I loved that t-shirt!  I used to love taking apart vintage finds and 'modernizing' them back in highschool.  Haven't done that in a while, felt pretty good!  Who knows, maybe I'll make myself a few new summer tunics while I still remember how!

So here's the deets on the event I created my Rockin' Tunic for.  If you want to support a good cause, and get yourself a cool one of a kind wearable piece of art,  then head on down to Favourite Gifts and put in your bid!

July 4 - July 11

Local designers and artists will be given both a ladies and a mens t-shirt as a blank canvas in which to create something fab. The tees will then be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to the North Shore Women's Centre
